Vivo Living was founded in 2020 at the onset of the global pandemic. Even before the pandemic, there was a serious shortage of affordably priced housing across the country. Sudden job and income loss from the Covid-19 imposed shutdown, left even more people unable to pay their rent and at risk for becoming unhoused. At the same time, business and vacation travel came to a sudden halt, putting many hotels on unstable financial footing and pushing many hotel owners to consider leaving the business. That is when Vivo Living’s founders decided that these empty hotels could be reimagined and repurposed into critically needed, affordably priced rental housing.

Caniece Padilla
Director, Training and Development

Caniece Padilla has been in the Multi Family industry for 15 years, she has diverse experience in multi-family housing. She has experience in all aspects in Onsite Property Management levels. Starting out as a Leasing Agent and working her way up to Community Manager. Caniece has worked on complete renovation projects as well as Lease Up properties. Caniece has worked on properties from 39 units to over 1100 units. She has worked with many programs such as Bond, Income qualified and Housing Authority Programs. Caniece has a strong work ethic and a drive to teach others. Caniece became a Mentor Manger in 2019 and would oversee all new managers, would work one on one with them to training on company policies and overall job duties. During that time Caniece learned her true passion in the industry is in the training and development department.
